Just wanted to say your trigger is awesome in my JM Marlin 1895 in 45-70. Nice 2-1/2lb crisp pull weight. Shot it Sunday and really was pleased with feel and no creep. Great job fellows!
Just installed my trigger kit on my 45/70. I had to file very slightly to get it to fit, it would not slide into place in order to slide pin back into place, once it did it hung up. After a very minor amount of filing it fit correctly. I wish it had fit right out of the box,, but i didn't have time to send back. I will say it feels great, definitely an improvement!
I decided to try the RPP trigger in my 1894 CBC that I use for cowboy action shooting. The customer service was great! The trigger was easy to install, and my lever safety still works with this part. The trigger is not as sharp as it appears in the picture, so no alterations were needed. I ordered the reduced power hammer spring, but did not use it. The light spring I had was better. The trigger was an improvement, nice feel, lighter pull, and crisp break. It’s nice to see that someone is making quality upgrades for the Marlin 1894.
I love my new set up! This trigger brings my hunting rifle to another level! Zero flop and a larger shoe makes this a great combo! The reduced weight of the spring was worth it as well! This trigger breaks like glass for sure! Way to deliver yet again Ranger Point!
Insulation was a snap. Unfortunately, nothing good came of that. The design caused the hammer not to lock back. Due to how to sear meets the hammer, the hammer needed to travel approximately another .0015 of an inch rearward. I put the OEM trigger back in and all is well.
The rifle is a Marlin 1895 SBL that I purchased new last month, with a manufacturing date code CN (April 2019).
I'm gonna to say it again. This is Sweet! Wish I'd of found ranger point long ago. This trigger was easy to install. The pull wieght has been drastically reduced. With the width of the trigger you have a better feel for it on your finger and no more of the god awful flop. I would recommend it to anyone looking to make a positive change to there trigger feel and pull.
WOW what a difference this trigger made in my 1895. I was able to install with RPP YouTube video. I just ordered 3 more! Thanks for this great trigger.
I installed the trigger and new spring in my Marlin 1895 and the results are great. Trigger feels so much better with no flop and 3 # pull. And best of all it cut my 100 yd groups!
I installed this in under 10 minutes in my 1895. With the lightweight hammer spring, the pull is consistently 2.5 pounds on my trigger scale. The face of the trigger is flat and wide, with mild serrations, giving a very good contact surface. If I had concerns about ignition with the lightweight hammer spring, I would install the standard spring and still have a 3.5 lb. trigger pull. Overall, an excellent addition to my brush buster.
